General Information and Instructions for Using Baby Monitor:
Baby Monitor solves all your problems above. Baby Monitor enables you to take picture, record audio and video of your baby and email the files to you. and So you can enjoy your baby during the working days. Even more, Baby Monitor can play a song for your baby, and detect baby's crying. All you have to do is to mount a Android phone next to the baby crib, and position it to have a good view on your baby.

There two icons placed in the application launcher. First one is used in the baby's phone and the second one is used in the parent's phone.

Operation Option 1: Two Android Phones
Install Baby Monitor on both phones, parents use the "Parent Control Panel" to control all activities remotely on the baby's phone.

1. Setup baby's phone
You have to setup everything except the Parent Control Panel
2. Setup parent's phone
All you have to do is setup Parent Control Panel Use Parent Control Panel

Operation Option 2: One Android Phone and one other device that can send SMS messages
Send SMS message remotely from any device to do the following:
  1. Send SMS message to play a song for your baby.
  2. Sound detection and send SMS message and E-mail to alert you when your baby is crying
  3. Send SMS message to record your baby's voice.
    You specify how long the recording will last. Sound files will be divided into 30 second interval and emailed to you.
  4. Send SMS message to take pictures of your baby
    The pictures will be emailed to you.
  5. Send SMS message to capture the video of your baby You specify how long the recording will last. Video files will be divided into 30 second interval and emailed to you.

Baby Monitor Setup
  1. Setup your password
    Go to Menu > Settings > Edit Password The default password is password, you should create your own password to avoid people hacking into your system.

  2. Setup your email account
    Fill out the following form and save it. If you don't a Google's E-mail account, you can create one, it is free.
    • SMTP Server Name: smtp.gmail.com ( default is Google's mail server)
    • Port: 465 (default port>
    • Account Name:
    • Password:
    • E-mail Address:

  3. Setup Noise Alert
    Go to Menu > Settings > Baby Alert Settings
    1. Noise Level
      Adjust to higher value if the background noise is loud
    2. Threshold
      Adjust to higher value if you received a lot of false alarm
    3. Minimum Time Interval between Alerts Set the time interval between alerts, if the time between the new alert and the previous alert is shorter than the Minimum Time Interval, no alert will be sent.
    4. Notification Methods
      Alert on : Turn on the noise Alert
      Alert Off : Turn off the nose Alert
      Send E-mail : Send alert to the email address if the check box is checked
      SMS Message : Send SMS message to the number if the check box is checked
    5. Phone Number( send SMS to)
      Enter the phone number where you want the alerts send to.
    6. Save You must press "Save" button to save your new settings.

  4. Pick Songs
    Go to Menu > Pick Songs
    You must pick some songs first before you can play them to your baby.
    1. Enter the directory where your songs store
    2. Press the "Refresh" button.
    3. Select songs by clicking the check box.
    4. Click the "Save" button
    Repeat 1-4 if you have songs stored in the other directories.

  5. Song List
    Go to Menu > Song List
    Song List list all songs you have added to the system. Here you can set a default song to play and remove unwanted songs from the system.

  6. Parent Control Panel
    This feature should be used two android phones option. Use it on the same phone works but does not make much sense. Here we use parent's phone and baby's phone to differentiate them.
    1. Password This password has to be the same as the password which is setup on the baby's phone
    2. Phone Number Baby's phone number
    3. Duration How long does you want the action last. This apply to audio, video and play actions
    4. Picture Take a picture using the baby's phone and email it to you
    5. Audio Record a audio sound file on the baby's phone and email it to you
    6. Video Record a video file on the baby's phone and email it to you
    7. Alert Turn the alert on the baby's phone on or off.
    8. Play Play the song on the baby's phone with the name which is specified on the song's filename
    9. Song's filename The song will be play on the baby's phone. If leave this blank, the default song will be play.

  7. Send SMS messages to your cell phone using the following format where password is the default password, you should replace it with the new password that setup on the previous step
